"Once on This Island" to be Performed at Schreiber High School

The Schreiber High School Department of Performing Arts will be presenting "Once on This Island" this weekend. The book by Lynn Ahrens is based on the novel My Love, My Love by Rosa Guy. The lyrics are by Lynn Ahrens and the music is by Stephen Flaherty.
The story of My Love, My Love is a tropical retelling of Hans Christian Anderson's The Little Mermaid, and also has elements of Romeo and Juliet. Rosa Guy's work has received the Coretta Scott King Award, The New York Times Outstanding Book of the Year citation, and the American Library Association’s Best Book Award.
The play will be presented November 20th, 21st, and 22nd at 7:30 pm and November 23rd at 2 pm in the Schreiber auditorium. Tickets are $5 ($3 with a valid Schreiber I.D.). Senior Citizens are admitted free. For more information, please call 767-5480 or visit the PortNet website.
