The 2nd Annual SOUPer Bowl, sponsored by the
Port Washington Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, January 31 at the
United Methodist Church, was a huge success. Attendance doubled from last year with 400 kids and adults sampling the delicious offerings. My husband Kenn and I were stationed at
Ayhan's Mediterranean Marketplace ladling Tex Mex Chili, and we were not surprised to learn that they won the Judges' Choice Award. The People's Choice Award went to
Sullivan's Quay for their Shrimp Bisque. That was also one of my favorites.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Chamber of Commerce and the
Twin Pines Food Pantry. This event was such a success that the 3rd Annual SOUPer Bowl (to be held the Saturday before the Super Bowl) is already scheduled for next year so save the date! I hope all of you that attended this year had a wonderful time.
